You can easily increase iron stores in your body via diet rich in iron, b12, folic acid & vitamin c. Include whole egg, fish, chicken, sprouts, leafy vegetables, raw cabbage & capsicum, guava, citrus fruits, rice flakes, soyabean/ nutrella/ tofu, poppy seeds, kala til, dates, watermelon in daily diet. Have 1-2 glass of dairy products as well

Hi Amy,
Start taking Trikatu Churna ( 750mg) ,half hour prior meals and take Mild Iron supplement (like: Dexorange syrup) after meal.
Trikatu will improve, bio- availability of Iron as well as other nutrients too.
Cooking food in iron utensiles will also increase iron content in food.

Dear Lybrate user, mouth ulcers are mostly due to stress or dehydration. The reasons mentioned by all the doctors are also correct. If you have a stressful life, try to relax. Keep yourself hydrated and increase your intake of liquids and juices and water. Avoid extremely hot or spicy food. The ulcers take 7-10 days to heal normally so nothing to worry. Pay special attention to your oral hygiene.
