Hye Thanks for the query. Taking whey will not solve your VitaminB12 deficiency. Also just because you go to the gym you don't need to take protein supplements. Protein rich diet is good enough. Supplementation with protein is only done if you are into serious training and your workout is intense.

For increasing your weight Few diet tips - Not to eat fried food items and Can eat All green vegetables, moong, chana,Dal, rice etc And to apply ghee over chappati and don't apply oil over chappati And to drink milk mixed with turmeric powder twice a day And If possible eat eggs on alternate days And If possible in breakfast eat atleast one bajra ka rotla And Eat seasonal fruit.

Supplements on a long term does not benefit you.
I suggest you to go on a natural high protein foods which includes egg whites, paneer, tofu, skim milk, boiled peanuts, sokaed almonds, all pulses and legumes, skinless chicken, curds, etc
After workout you need to replenish your lost glycogen stores. Hence you need to consume a high carb high protein diet.
As you require fluid too, consume milkshakes, or buttermilk, or skim milk with 2 egg whites.

after fat burning you have to go for muscle building exercises
for muscle building you have to take good amount of proteins
proteins are available in 1. Eggs
2.meat
3.moong dal
4.sprouts
5.banana shake
6.almods
7.paneer
8.soup
you can have whey protein but it should be consumed after knowing your height and weight, your age and your dose and under the guidance of gym instructor.
