Esr (erythrocyte sedimentation rate) is a test that can tell you how much sedimentation and inflammation is in your body.
It measures how quickly your red blood cells fall to the bottom of a super-thin tube. If you have a moderately elevated esr, you probably also have painful inflammation that you’d like to reduce. Target this inflammation with diet and exercise. You should also see if there are other medical reasons for an elevated or high esr rate.
You may need to have your esr tested...more

It could be due to some chronic infection. Rise in ESR is not clinically significant. DO CRP test which is more confirmatory. Get her examined by doctor and follow the advice and treatment.

Hi,
Elevated ESR reveals some infection in the body. It is not of diagnostic value; it has only prognostic value. Even a small wound in the body or if you have mild cold also, its levels are raised. As she has fever, high values are observed. Please do more specific tests like CBC, Widal, M.P. Montaux etc. To find out the cause of fever.

ESR in itself does not signify anything specific disease but is an indicator that your health is compromised somewhere. So it needs to be looked at with all other health parameters (other tests and any medical history ). Adapt a healthy lifestyle and follow all good habits to stay fit and healthy with a strong immunity.

High esr indicates chronic infection. It may not be always relevant. Repeat your esr after some time and if it is still high consult doctor for further advice.
