Esr is erythrocyte sedimentation rate, it is a prognostic value not a diagnostic, it can increase in Any infection running in your body, also can increase in prolong illness.

Esr is the blood test which signifies the swelling or inflammation in any part of body. Esr is increased in many conditions like fever, infections, allergy, arthritis etc.

Esr is usually increased in inflammatory conditions such as trauma, infections and in few non inflammatory conditions also. How much is the esr and what about crp (c reactive protein). Depending on how much esr is elevated and also other tests can come to a conclusion.

esr is a non specific test you have to do the correct blood tests and a chest xray after a detailed history taking which will need a consultation because you have given only a very short history and you have not provided the complete blood test results and the medicationyou are taking.

Esr is prognostic test. It can increase in any disease. Search cause with help of treating physician.

The raised esr shown is the evidence of infection somewhere in the body which need to be found out and treated. Then the esr will come down and we do not have to treat esr which is only a finding of the test for infection which needs to be cured.

May be she is suffering from Rheumatoid arthriris, get RA factor test done. Esr raise only if body is having some infection or may be do to arthritis issues. First get the test, if RA factor comes positive, visit ortho or RA specialist for medication.

It's high. Correlation with symptoms helps. Do not depend upon one test. High esr can be due to lots of chronic conditions including tuberculosis.
