It is because of stress, change in food habits despite physical activity. Our dads and grand dads didn't do gym, just walked and and ate healthy food and slept 8 hours a day. The young adults today don't sleep for 8 hours and sleep deprivation negates the benefits of physical activity benefits and makes a person highly vulnerable for heart attack.

Hi, it seems she is suffering from 1. Gastritis or achalasia cardia
2. Take an antacid 3-4 tsf 8 hrly
3. Get a blood investigation - liver function test done
4. Avoid fatty, oily meals
5. No fast food, no momos and samosas
6. No tea and coffee
7. Lots of water
8. Walk after meals
9. Eat less at nights
10. No soft drinks, hard drinks and no smoking
recommended a private consultation after endoscopy.

You are right , prolonged use of PPI does carry risk(s).
use kitchen remedies like ginger,garlic,ajwain,jeera,heeng,flax seed ground well.
modify eating habits.
take warm water in the form of green tea/clear soups/diluted milk/normal tea /plain warm water every 2 hours so that acid does not get collected and is washed further with warm nourishing liquids.
continue other medicines given after heart attack.
