Madam, thanks for the query. I am not able to read the details written in tamil. Probably you are asking whether there are any side effects of thyronorm tablets. Madam usually these tablets are very well tolerated by most of the patients. There may be minor issues initially but nothing problematic. Plus for the patient with hypothyroidism the only tratment ant that too for life is taking adequate dosage of these tablets. Most important is to maintain tsh around 3 to 4 mu/l and t4 in the normal range. That will keep one free fromall the symptoms of hypothyroidism. Thanks.

Hello, thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. Your current tsh level (1.43 mu/l) is well with in the normal range. It is usually recommended that tsh should be around 3 to 4 mu? Or with in the normal range mentioned in each labs report, which is around 0.5 to 5 mu/l with minor variation in upper limit. Another important aspect is one should be symptom free. So your current dosage is fine. However, please check the thyroid levels once in 6 months to see if those are in range. If you have any questions please do come back. Thanks.

lybrate-user ji, thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. The level of tsh has gone up compared to the lab's upper limit. However, please let me whether you have any symptoms related to the condition, which you might have experienced earlier? Secondly are you by any chance considering having a baby? Then there is a need to bring down the tsh with in the specified range. Ideally it should be maintained around 3 to 4 mu/l to remain free from all the symptoms of hypothyroidism. To do that you may need to increase the dosage by 12.5 mcg from the existing one (62.5 mcg). Then again check tsh after 6 weeks to see if desired level is achieved. Thanks. If you have any questions please do come back. Thanks.
