Last year I have undergone for root canal treatment. Few days back the cap they kept came out while I was chewing a chocolate. Then I washed the cap n fitted it. Again next day it came out while eating then again I fitted it. I stopped chewing that side. Why is it happening like that? what should I do?

Hi.Please go to the doctor who has done rct. Cap is fixed with some kind of dental cement inside. When it comes out, it will not fit only putting over. Doctor will check wether any damage is in the cap, or will remove the prior cement parts. And will put new cement and then put it again.

Just by your placing the cap back on teeth is not the way you fit the cap. You will rquire a adhesive agent which only dentist have so you visit the dentist and get the cap cemented then it wont come out. And dont ever stop chewing from any side by that your theeth will get dirty since you dont chew your natural way if clening by friction is stop.

Hello, kindly visit the dentist who will clean the older cement and refix the cap for you.(its a simple painless process and hardly takes 10 minutes) also be careful in future. Try to avoid very sticky chocolates because they tend to stick to cap and cap gets dislodged.
