I am suffering from the problem of darkening of skin tone day by day. Please tell me how can I get my skin tone lighter. I have to go to school and Tution, so I have to face sun and pollution which is making my tone darker and sometimes pimples are also there. Hello, for improving your skin tone you can try the following: TEA TREE OIL: Use tea tree oil facewash twice a day followed by tea tree toner and an oil free moisturizer. LEMON JUICE: Apply fresh lemon juice on the affected area with a cotton ball. Leave it on for around 10 mins then rinse with cool water. APPLE CIDER VINEGAR: Mix equal parts of apple cider vinegar and water and use the mixture as a toner. Apply on your face with a cotton swab. ALOE VERA: Aloe Vera has burn-relieving properties and can promote healing, fight infection, and even reduce scarring. Scrape out the gel from an aloe plant with a spoon, and apply to your face. HONEY AND CINNAMON: Add half teaspoon of cinnamon powder with 1 tablespoon of honey and apply on face. Leave it for an hour, or if possible leave it overnight. Then wash off. CHAMOMILE STEAM: Make 2 cups of chamomile tea and add fresh rose petals to it. Then take this soothing steam while it is still hot. (Put a bath towel over your head to prevent the steam from escaping) MINT LEAVES: Blend fresh mint leaves with some water to make a paste (pudeena ki chutney). Rub the paste on your face and leave for 5-10 mins. Then wash thoroughly with cold water. PAPAYA: Mash up the flesh of a fresh papaya and apply to your skin. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes, and then rinse off completely with warm water. BESAN: Mix 1 teaspoon of chickpea flour (chana ka atta) or gram flour (besan) with enough water to make a paste, and wash your face with this mixture. Follow with almond powder mask and a moisturizer. ALMOND POWDER: Mix almond powder with a little water, and apply the paste to your face. Let it dry and remain on your skin for up to half an hour, then rinse it off. (You can easily make the almond powder yourself in a grinder.) SANDALWOOD and TURMERIC: The age old recipe of sandalwood and turmeric powders mixed in goat?s milk is still very effective for healing the skin. Take � teaspoon turmeric and � teaspoon sandalwood powder, mix them together, and add sufficient goat?s milk to make a paste. Apply this mixture to your face for up to half an hour, then rinse it off. GREEN TEA: Make a cup of green tea and let it cool down. Then wash your face with it. DIET: Diet is the most important factor in dealing with any skin problem. Eat all seasonal fruits and vegetables specially citrus fruits. Drink a lot of water (5-6 litres) throughout the day.
