Placenta can be either anterior, posterior, fundal or lateral or a combination. It essentially is the site of the placenta in relation to the wall of the uterus. Grading is 1, 2 or 3 depending on the maturity of the placenta with increases with the duration of pregnancy. What is more important is whether it is high or low. Since low is not mentioned in the scan report I am presuming it is high. There is risk of vaginal bleeding with low lying placenta. All others are of no significance. Hence you dont need to worry. And no additional safety measures are required.

Placenta anterior is again normal to have but the only concern is if there is a c-section then doctor may have to go through th placenta to reach the baby and there can be excess blood loss. This may also cause difficult / obstructed labour sometimes. Regards.
