Sir I am 24 male. I think I have chronic fatigue syndrome. Evrytime I am feeling flu like symptoms .feeling fever but body temp is normal & muscle ache. What can I do to beat cfs. Pls help.

Mr. lybrate-user Singh, Please get your blood glucose and thyroid assay done. Because many a times such symptoms are seen in undetected diabetes or even hypothyroidism. If the blood reports are normal, then let us see if there is chronic fatigue syndrome. Thanks.

It is A disease characterised by profound fatigue, sleep abnormalities, pain and other symptoms that are made worse by exertion. This is a Common condition and More than 1 million cases per year in India Can't be cured, but treatment may help Chronic: can last for years or be lifelong Requires a medical diagnosis Lab tests or imaging always required Chronic fatigue syndrome occurs more commonly in women. The cause of this condition is unknown, but may include environmental or genetic factors. The main symptom is fatigue for over six months. The fatigue often worsens with activity, but doesn't improve with rest. Treatments include graded exercise therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy. Other medications or therapies may provide symptom relief.
