I am 45 year old lady who has complete tear at mid portion of medial collateral ligament and medial patellar retinaculum in my left leg due to an accident. What should I do? Should I consult surgery?

Mam, Definitely you need surgery for complete tear MCL. Without MCL reconstruction you may damage your knee joint even more. Moreover since medial patellar retinaculum is torn too this may lead to lateral subluxation of patela. So I would suggest you to immediately consult orthopedic surgeon else more damage may occur. After that you need intensive Physiotherapy. I hope I helped you. THANK YOU!
