Hi doctor, I am mohit, 19 year old boy, I applied clop g cream on my face (only on chicks) to get rid of pimples, pimples settled down but after 6 months of usage my chicks have got very fair in comparison to my forehead and other face parts, my chicks became highly fair, extremely dry and red also, is there any solution to regain my old skin of face (chicks) and also the same skin colour? please reply as I am very depressed of it!

Dear Lybrate user Clop G cream has a very strong steroid and is not supposed to be used on the face. Now you have developed hypopigmentation which is a side effect of this. Never use any such creams without the guidance of a dermatologist. It takes time to get your akin to normal after stopping steroid. To get the colour back you can try 0.1% Tacroz forte ointment at night on the area. But my suggestion would be to first consult a dermatologist face to face.
