My father and I went for shopping last sunday and in the mall there was some health checkup going on. They checked sugar level of my father's blood and it turned out to be 240. Is it ok to have such a figure?

Actually what you have tested is random sugar. Result depends upon how long after food you have taken the sample. Still your father's level is very high. You better do a gtt test of blood. He might have already developed hyperglycaemia. Consult your family physician with the gtt report.

No. He is in diabetic range. If you can check his fbs, 2hr ppbs and hba1c and cbc and send report to me I can suggest medicines and further action.
