I am 62 yrs, female, I am diabetic. Please Answer why it is so 1- my fasting with glucometer 120-110 2- at 11a. am I take full diete with glyzide 40mg+metformin 400 mg. After 3hrs. At 2. Pm rbs -250, at 4. Pm rbs 160. After 3 hrs it should be rbs should be 150 in stead of 250 and after 5 hrs it is rbs 150, why this abnormal pattern and what I should do?

The sugar levels usually are low at fasting even in diabetic patient because after 8 to 10 hrs after meal glucose is bound to be low, after food if your control is good then pp level should be closer to 140 mg/100ml. However the levels mentioned by you are high because the treatment is not adequate. In a well controlled patient rbs could be about 120 - 130 mg/100ml you need to take some additional drugs to control sugar level. Please tell me some more details like weight, height, waist circumference, hba1c % and time spent on exercise daily. Then I can suggest some changes for you.
