Little bleeding or spotting during your first trimester is common, it is mostly implantation bleeding. However, a heavy flow of blood cannot be taken lightly especially if associated with pain. You should immediately consult your gynecologist and get a check up done. It can be a sign of miscarriage or pending miscarriage. Early treatment is highly recommended.
