Mild pain for few days to one week is quite normal after filling of the tooth. Because tooth tissues get irritated from mechanical process of the filling. But if pain persists after two weeks then it's needed to be re check. Wether there is problem in restoration or in the tooth itself. Avoid hard food items, too cold and too hot food for few days, you can also take analgesics to get relief from pain.

Hi tooth pain after a filling can happen because of various reasons. One of the most common reasons is deeper decay present. I would advise you to get a radiograph of that particular tooth to diagnose the reason behind the pain.

The most common reason may be high point or premature contacts of the filling causing pain. Visit to the dentist who can check the contact and adjust the filling. Alternatively, the cavity may have been deep and very close to the nerve causing the pain. In this case, x-ray and root canal may be required. Anyways its better to take tab. Combiflam twice a day for 3 days until you can see a dentist.

Sometimes the filling remains a bit high. So while chewing when teeth come in contact. You feel pain. Or otherwise if the filling is very near to the tooth inner structure we call it pulp. Then also you may get pain. X ray will reveal the truth. Go back to your dentist n get it checked properly if it is high. The dentist will trim it off or otherwise will do the x ray n will do the treatment accordingly. For time being if pain is not bearable. Take one painkiller like. Brufen. Take care.
