Dear doc can I take protein supplement for gaining mass as I am going to gym from last six month. Can I start whey protein supplement is there any side effects of this please advise me doc thanks.

Need & dosage of protein supplement varies with type, intensity & duration of the gym exercises. For weight loss training programmes, the exercises done do not need any supplementation. Protein requirement can be easily met via normal diet by including milk, curd, chenna, buttermilk, lassi, whole egg, fish, chicken, soyabean/ nutrella/ tofu, nuts, oilseeds.

Hello User, If are going to gym then protein powder can be consume no a issue but its not a only option you may take Eggs, Soyabean and moong etc instead of powder as these are rich in protein and fibers.
