In subscission procedure for acne scars does the surgeon insert needle on one particular scar or separately inserts needle to every scar. I have many scars on my face and does this procedure cause pigmentation on treated areas?

Dear Mr.Pradeep, subcision is one of the best techniques to treat acne scars. Yes,the dermatosurgeon will insert the needle via a few scars and cover a particular area, all your scars will not be pierced and morever the procedure is done under sterile conditions with local/topical anaesthesia, which means you will not feel uncomfortable during the procedure. Post the procedure you can expect swelling and redness which will subside in a day or two. Strict use of the sunscreen is required to prevent any post procedure pigmentation! i hope this answers your query!
