My sister is detected with myasthenia gravis. She is having problem of double vision and put on steroids. Currently she is having severe pain in her left eye (same eye which is having problem of double vision). She was suggested for eye muscle exercise by one of the eye specialist but other eye specialist refused to assist in muscle exercise by machines because of myasthenia gravis. We don't know what to do. Can any of you please help in this case. Thanks.

First and foremost double vision is a binocular phenomenon in this case. So you cannot say double vision is in one eye only. Myesthenia gravis is a disease affecting all voluntary muscles in the body. So adequate treatment for the disease is a must. Muscle exercises will not help in her case. Consult the physician who is treating her for myesthenia and get the dose of her medication adjusted.
