Hello Doctor! I'm 29 years old female. My hairs are in very bad condition. I'm suffering from split ends, roughness, baldness, hair breakage, hair fall, thin hairs, looking very bad. So, please suggest me that what should I do? Which shampoo should I use? I do oiling 3 times in a week and before sometime I was using Dove shampoo.

Hi. Hair becomes dry when the natural oils produced by your scalp aren't getting the chance to nourish it. Age and menopause cause changes in the amount of hormones produced in the body. Common side effects include dry hair or even hair loss. Pregnancy also affects hormone levels and can result in dry hair until the pregnancy ends and hormones stabilize. If you struggle for an extended time with an illness, you may develop dry hair. Cancer patients undergoing conventional treatment often experience dry hair due to the medications and therapies used. But you should know that dry hair itself can be the symptom of an undiscovered disease. When accompanied by dry skin, brittle nails or other hair problems, it could be a sign of overall nutritional deficiency or disease. Dry hair marks all of these medical conditions: -Malnutrition is the condition that occurs when your body doesn?t get enough nutrients. An inadequate diet, problems with digestion or absorption, and certain medical conditions can all play a factor. -Anorexia is an eating disorder that causes people to lose more weight than is considered healthy, leading to nutritional deficiency. -Hypoparathyroidism and Hypothyroidism: Dry hair is only one physical change that affects patients with this condition. Other symptoms include obesity, fatigue, depression, weakness, and joint or muscle pain. Management: -Shampooing dry hair every day will make it ever drier and more brittle since you're stripping those oils away on a daily basis. -Comb instead of brushing. -Avoid using hair dryer/ blower. -Avoid Straightening, curling, dyeing, or otherwise processing your hair as they can cause long-term damage, even if you just do it once. -Use a good conditioner each time you shampoo. -Do regular deep conditioning treatments at least once a week. (Combine coconut oil, crushed almond, and lemon juice. Warm the mixture and massage it on your scalp. Cover your head with a warm towel for about half an hour then wash your hair.) -Make a homemade hair mask. (Mix two eggs and a little milk with a squeeze of lemon juice and bit of coconut oil. Apply to your scalp and hair. Leave in for an hour to nourish your hair and give it vitamin support. Then wash your hair with a mild shampoo.) -Use finishing oil to protect your hair. (can try Argan oil, Olive oil, Coconut oil or Jojoba oil). -Eat plenty of nutritious foods known to benefit the hair. Aim to get plenty of protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and iron. Choose salmon, sardines, nuts, avocados, and flaxseeds. -Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. This prevents your hair from drying out. -Avoid smoking. The smoke from cigarettes can end up damaging your hair. -Protect your hair from sun and other elements. Can wear a sun hat. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Schwabe's Wiesbaden 200 & Alfalfa tonic twice a day for 3 months. Use Schwabe's Arnica shampoo and Hair Growth oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week). After shampooing, use Bakson's Arnica hair conditioner as well after every head wash. Beside this, you can take one tablet of multivitamin Folli Hair once daily for 3 months.
