Please I need a resolution to it, I always get nightmare. I work in night shifts and nightmare consists of as m running. I see babies. I see people cutting throat, I see someone killing me. I see someone suiciding. I see myself in jungle. M too upset with this please help me its on daily basis whether m sleeping at night or morning or day.

Dear lybrate-user, Are you screaming or kicking or walking or waking up during the nightmares? If not, they are just dreams. Does not need any major treatment. In shift workers, the circadian rhythm gets disturbed. The sleep wake cycle is also disturbed. So you may be waking up during dream stage of sleep. That is why, you remember the dream and worry about them. Try and find a day shift job. Or try to go to bed at the same time on all days whether week day or week end. Sleep during the day, in a dark room or eyes covered by a cloth. If it bothers your day time activities, please consult a psychiatrist. She/he may prescribe a tablet called Melatonin, a circadian rhythm hormone.
