There is no need to over-consume water.. There is no rule to take 4 liters. Take as per Your need. and as per the weather. Usually one glass of water per hour is fine. When you work out you may need more. Let your body guide your water consumption. Avoid drinking water before meals since your are trying to gain weight. To gain some weight, you need to eat healthy. 1. Have lot of fruits and fruit juices. 2. Take sprouts daily. 3. Eat lot of nuts like almonds, cashew, peanuts. 4. Drink full cream milk, curd, cheese, paneer. 5. If your are non veg you can have more eggs, chicken. 6. Dals have good protein. Have more rajma, kabuli chana, soya beans etc. 7. Avoid junk food and colas. Avoid chips and other namkeen. Currently you are not severely underweight so just focus on being fit and active. You will be fine.
