Mr. Lybrate-user, by referring to thyroid you are probably talking about hypothyroidism. A patient of hypothyroidism has weight gain, intolerance to cold, slow heart rate, swelling of face and lower limb, difficulty in speech, inability to concentrate, dry skin dry hair and hair fall, in females menstrual irregularities, anxiety and depression. Throat pain usually is not the sign of hypothyroidism.
