I am 53 years old. Of late I am unable to remember simple things like carrying my specs or office bag until someone reminds me every time to do the same. Moreover I am unable to recollect the incident or the person whom I met 2 to3 days back and I end up asking him why he has come or for what purpose. If this is dementia then please help me out of this trouble.

Dear Mr. Lybrate-user. You may have normal age related memory problem or mild cognitive impairment. There are chances of underlying depression also which may cause pseudementia like picture also. So I think though still it's not a mazor problem it should be assessed properly.
