The list never ends. No age is safe to avoid an attack maintain good health from your teen age itself have a regular exercise don't take junk food in excess because it can dump more bad cholesterol in your body. Avoid stress. If you have strong family history for heart diseases and diabetes, please get screened for diabetes, hypertension on and off, if you have symptoms. Elderly patients with diabetes and hypertension are at more risk for heart attack. And there are many more risk factors like smoking, alcohol etc and many more.
