I am 73 years old. I want to quit taking restyl (Aplozoram) tablet .5 mg which I take to sleep. I am also Diabetic Type 2 and under medication for benign Hypertension. Metformin 500 mg 1 - 0 - 1 and Amilodopin 10 mg 1 - 0 - 0 Almost for 10 yrs. I get weird dreams at night, of my earlier life. Kindly let me know how I can get rid of addiction Aplozoram. Are the dreams due to beta blockers? If so can you prescribe alternate medicines for my hypertension.

Now, in this age, that too with the long h/o of diabetes, hypertension, intakeof alprozalam, all of sudden, you can not quit, but you can try alternative medicines, from homeo, which will be given based on your constitution, will help to reduce the need of those medicines gradually, so that can be tapper gradually, but not sure that, you can quit completely, as this is since long,& you r above 73 years ow, so a bit risky. By following diet tips, strict life style pattern, practicing paranayamaa, breathing exercises which will be taught by art of living, etc trusts, you can get rid of tensions& keep mentally calm/peace, which will help to get better sleep, & regarding dreams, there is no relation with medicines, its all due to your subconscious thoughts, brooding, roaring of thoughts inside.
