Hello doctor, my son is 14 years old , he eat very less food i.e. One and half chapati for whole day does not eat green vegetables, just eat fully when making non veg, he drinking two to three times tea, he is always having irritating nature, very poor in education, his weight is 26 kg and height is 5 ft 9 inch, what should I do for his weight gain, what is the proper diet for him to gain weight and improve brain power.Please tell.

If your child does not like much to eat green vegetables, then that can be served in meals in different forms, like mixing them with other food items which he likes to eat. This might give him a liking for the same food. Ii. Drinking tea many times will definitely reduce his diet and makes addiction too. To reduce this, it is important for you to make it only two times a day and try to substitute this some other healthy drink which he likes to take like lassi, juice or shake etc. Once he will be start taking proper diet, this will improve his health and make fixed timings and that too after shorter intervals hope it helps if it is followed in a consistent manner.

You need to give him variety of foods & incorporate foods he does not like into foods of his choice. Some nutrient & energy dense foods low in volume: Soyabean-carrot cutlets, laal saag paratha/ veg pulao with Dhania Chicken, egg curry (curry should be prepared with tomato & onion), banana milkshake, mango lassi, dates chutney, premix, cereal malt with milk & sugar, bel juice, sugarcane juice, french omlette (with cheese), chicken-veg sandwich, til chikki, peanut chikki, chicken stew (with vegetables), fruit custard, fruit srikhand, dates payasam. He drinks tea as tea gives him caffeine boost that makes him feel energetic temporarily. Encourage him to play with friends daily. Be friendly with him as so that he can share his problems with you.
