Histopathology: medium tissue biopsylab no: hl-4159-23nature of specimen: endometriosis nodule, biopsy. Clinical details: severe lower abdomen and leg pain. Usg: endometriosis nodule. Gross description: received multiple grey brown soft tissue pieces, aggregate measuring 4.0 x 3.0 x 2.0 cm. Blocks: 03 (etp) microscopic examination: section examined shows fibromuscular and adipose tissue infiltrated by a tumor arranged in cords, tubercular and few ill-formed glands. Tumor cells have a high n/c ratio, hyperchromasia, marked nuclear pleomorphism and scant, ill-defined cytoplasm. The surrounding stroma shows desmoplasia. Few proliferating blood vessels, plump proliferating fibroblasts and scattered chronic inflammatory cells are also noted. Impression: overall features are suggestive of a metastatic adenocarcinoma. Advise: ihc for delineating the site of primary.

Hi, the biopsy is confirming cancer of endometrium which is secondary that has spread to endometrium. Ihc has been advised to find out the primary site. Consult an oncologist at the earliest for further line of treatment.
