On my second day of my period for around 3 hours I have heavy bleeding such that the pad gets completely soaked and starts leaking a little bit. This happened only in the 2nd day and lasts only a few hours! This has happened for the second time in past four months. Is this normal? If not what are the possibilities? Am I having any kind of vitamin deficiency? Hormonal dis balance? PS: I am sexually active and had sex around 2 days back.

This is normal. It happens if you have subjected yourself to excessive physical strain. If however there is excessive bleeding for more than 2 days at a stretch then you may want to get a scan done - USG abdomen, to rule out any complications. For now, I do not see any cause for worry Vitamin / Iron deficiency will result in fatigue, lethargy, skin changes etc but will not cause excess bleeding Hormonal imbalance may cause excess bleeding but it will be associated with other symptoms like weight gain/loss, excess hair loss, fatigue, irritability etc In your case I do not suspect anything more than excess physical strain

This is normal. But take calcium, Vit B12 and Vitamin K plenty. In food take green vegetables, milk and butter in good portions, and fish and liver if you take nonveg.
