I am 18 year boy ,I am having a problem where I feel feared and scared in crowd .I also feel feared when I go to college having of thinking of getting toilet there likely I have very low confidence and also think alot before doing anything. My heartbeat becomes fast and likely feel like fainting in some uncomfortable time. please do help .It is happening from 4-5 months .

At 18 , you need a good relative or a doctor that understands the reasons for your low esteem & can help you through counselling. Interact on one to one basis or do self analysis and do write down every plus in you and every negative with honesty. Get over your fears by confronting them. May be you do not need a professional help.

Dear lybrate user, I think you have low self esteem and low self confidence. Probably no one appreciated your strengths since your childhood. Please understand that we all have good and bad traits. Try to focus on your good points. Understand that every person in this world is valuable, so are you. Please get in touch with your school or college counsellor at the earliest. If you do not have one at school/college, then take an appointment with a private counsellor. You can get rid of your anxiety and fear with some behaviour therapy. Take care.
