Pediatric doctor prescribed cefixime oral solution of 1 ml for 5 dys for my 2 months old baby for motions. But from the third day she was sleeping more not taking feeding feeling full drowsy shall I stop using this medication or shall I continue as I am having fear that further dosage can make my baby completely drowsy for 24 hrs. Kindly answer my question as I am planning to stop my baby medication.

If possible, try to finish the course. Feed her ors with warm water. Cefixime is a bacteriocidal antibiotic that kills good bacteria as well. Loose motions will be relieved easily with enterogermina suspension 1-1 for 5 days. I hope she makes full recovery. Enterogermina has excellent safety profile for kids. All the best.
