My daughter is one month old and she is suffering from loose motion. It almost once in gap of 3 hours. please suggest me how to treat this.

5 to 6 motions in a day is not abnormal for a 1 month old baby. The 3 hourly feeding generates a kind of gastro colic reflex and the bowel passes semisolid to loose stools initially. In case the motion is totally watery with the child having fever, then infection can be considered to be the cause. Don't give any antispasmodics like you mentioned. Continue feeding normally unless vomiting is there. Consult a paediatrician if needed.

Breast feed your baby well. If the motion is watery you have to go to a paediatrician.

Bit loose stools are normal in kids from 3-8 times a day until the baby is totally active. Only breast feed her. Every 2hrly and then let her burp. Without burping do not let her lie down or sleep.
