Hello, I had an urti last year and because of it I have a swollen lymph node in my neck ,i was given treatment for the infection by a doctor ,but the swollen lymph node is still there ,it doesn't hurt 98%of the time ,it's the size of a pea but I find it strange that it's still there .my question is what could cause it to stay swollen for a year. Please help me.

Hi swollen nodes are natural response of our body to fight against infection. Even if your infection has been treated, it might persist for few weeks. There is generally no need to worry unless you develope tenderness, discharge from node, redness, fever or weight loss.
