I am 35.7 years old I have got my first pregnancy confirmed without any treatment. I recently moved to dubai. I am 7 weeks pregnant now. Doctor here prescribed me with duphaston 10 mg twice a day from week 4. Week 7 heartbeat scan has been done and it?s perfect normal. I am taking thyroxine 50 mg. Now it?s been advised to consume aspirin 75 mg daily. In the tablet pamphlet it?s instructed it will have impact on thyroid and also I read somewhere aspirin might cause some risk in pregnancy. Can you pls guide me under which scenario aspirin is to be consumed.

That is in case of high dose aspirin. The low dose aspirin prescribed during pregnancy acts as an antioxidant and prevents miscarriage which you are at risk of on account of your advanced age.
