Madam I have taken anti rabies vaccines on 16 december then 19 december 2022 then on 25 january 2023 then on 2 march 2023 and 12 march 2023.12 march I had taken 3 anti rabies vaccines same time. From 2018 I got fear of dogs and rabies so from 20218 to today that is totally I have taken around 40 anti rabies vaccines. I have taken anti rabies vaccines on 16 december then 19 december 2022 then on 25 january 2023 then on 2 march 2023 and 12 march 2023.12 march I had taken 3 anti rabies vaccines same time my question is if a dog bit me on 13 march 2023 again do I need further anti rabies vaccines.

If you are doing self medication for dog bite phobia you will be landing in problem. For every doubt genuine or imaginary always consult an experienced and qualified physician. Taking 5 doses of vero cell rabies vaccine taken under supervision of a qualified doctor on days 0, 3, 7, 14 and 28, you get immunity of two years. However to be on safer side if you get bite after 6 months of a confirmed rabies dog of or a bite of stray dog which cannot be identified for 10 days and causing severe injury, you may take as a prevention 2 - 3 injections on days 0 and 3 and 7 till period of two years. For constant fear and to ensure lasting immunity against possible bite you may take two injections as prevention every two years. Hence you neither require ant rabies vaccine or gamma globulin if there is a bite on 13.03.2023.
