Rabies is a zoonotic disease ( diseases that are transferred from animals to humans). It is caused by the rabies virus, of the Lyssavirus genus, a family of Rhabdoviridae. Domestic dogs are the most common reservoir of this virus, as 95% of human fatalities caused by dog-carried rabies. Rabies Antibodies test is a simple blood test performed on a sample of blood to evaluate the level of Rabies Antibodies in the blood.It is performed to confirm Muscle Spasm. It is also performed during and after the treatment of Fever, Hygrophobia and Muscle Spasm.

Make sure to wear a short-sleeved shirt or a shirt with sleeves that you can easily roll up.No special preparation needed for this test. There’s no need to adjust your diet. You can both eat and drink normally.However, your doctor may require that you fast for a specific amount of time before the test. That’ done depending on whether the sample will be used for additional testing or not. Your doctor will give you specific instructions. You should tell your doctor about any medications you’re undergoing.

The normal result for Rabies Antibodies Blood test for Rabies Antibodies is that the antibodies are not normally found and a negative results. They are detected in case of an infection for unisex gender and for all age groups. A fast action rabies immune globulin (shot) is given to prevent the virus from infecting you.This injection should be given near the area where the animal bit you, as quickly as possible. Rabies vaccines are given as injections(in your arm). You will get four injections in two weeks.

During this test, a lab technician will draw blood from a vein, generally from the inside of your elbow or A blood gas sample can also be from a vein, which is done by a small prick to the heel.
The lab assistant will:
1.clean your skin with an antiseptic wipe.
2.place an elastic band around your upper arm to help the vein swell with blood.
3.insert a needle in the your and collects the required amount of blood.
4.cover the area with a bandage to stop any bleeding.
5.label your sample and send it to a lab for analysis.
