I have ocd. When I went to doctor (psychiatrist) he prescribed me clonil 25 along with cyclotin 20 and risdone mt 0.5. I want to verify these medicines with other doctors here on lybrate I have 3 questions 1) are these medicines safe for the brain? Can they cause any kind of permanent brain damage like brain hemorrhage, memory loss etc 2) I am experiencing strong side effects of these medicines. How long will they last? 3) is it safe to take these medicines together? Will they cause any adverse reaction with each other? Please someone answer me. I will be grateful.

Dear lybrate-user, 1) no medicine is safe on any organ. They can not cause permanent brain damage. No doctor will prescribe a drug that causes permanent brain damage. 2) unless I know the side effects, I can not say how long they will last. 3) they are safe if taken together. They all work together to give you more benefit. They are all in very low dose now. After 2-3 weeks, follow up with the psychiatrist. Ocd needs much larger dose of clonil and cyclotin.
