Hello Ms. Lybrate-user, teeth abcess means there is infection in the teeth and also has infiltrated into the surrounding area, which is the gums and bone. And ofcourse there is collection of pus (which is a lot of bacteria). It is serious if you want to save your teeth and to save your gums and bones so that it doesn't spread uncontrollably.
