I am a 25yr man weighing 120 kilos. Due to a back injury many years back, I piled on excess weight and with restrictions on physical activity I am unable to shed weight. But I am hopeful I shall lose much of it in the next 1-2 years when my job is regularized and my pain eases. I visited a skin specialist 3 months ago due to excess pigmentations (dark) near the temple, neck, under eye etc. Apart froma few steriod based creams the doc asked me to get a fasting serum insulin test done and the result was 39.(normal is 25). I was put on canthex tabs and after a month the values were 32. The next month it was 35. However now after 2 months medication the value is 42. What should I do now? my lipids, fbs, pps etc are all under control. Gtt test too are negative. Ps. I suffer from mild depression.
