I am a 56-year-old male. For about 6 weeks I have had a dry throat with slight soreness and a heavy feeling in my ears, sometimes punctuated by ear pain. Also I have a heavy dull feeling in my jawline, although there is no lymph node swelling that I can detect. Sometimes I have a slight feeling of post-nasal drip. Occasional headaches in the back of my head. Could this be from allergies? Should I worry about throat cancer? Thank you.

Most likely it is because of a chronic infection like sinusitis etc... When you ask about cancer... yes there is always a chance but no one can confirm or deny such diagnosis without thorough examination.
