If you act fast and responsibly, your daughter may be able to recover fast and with good results. The symptoms coming at this time is typical of issues not yet resolved from her childhood. She should immediately meet with a counselor and talk about these matters. I request you and your wife to accompany her and inform the counselor of her entire history from prenatal days, and a brief of her family background from up to her grandparents on both sides. In the meantime she should continue on the medication, unless you want a second opinion, and then proceed with the medicines prescribed. Whatever happens please do not discontinue her therapy or medication without their advice. The counseling needs to be there right up to her recovery. If you know of anything in her childhood that might have contributed to her condition you must reveal that to the doctor. It will help them come to a proper diagnosis. When you mention? mood swings, there is a more definitive interpretation to be pursued.
