Sir from childhood I wanted to be doctor so that I always studied biology deeply and my maths was very good too. So I was always in topper 3position in class. But when in class 10 minority of my friends were opting for maths then I was feeling tough to take biology. Then was very tensed thinking too much. I took maths with additional biology. I started to prepare for IIT as my friends but when took both chance if IIT and could not qualify. Then I started feeling guilty and started preparing medical then in entrance exam I was unable to score well then I decided to. Then I thought to again qualify btech entrance first then in ibstarted preparing hard in mean time I got panic disorder and after recovering Little my mind changed to directly go for MBBS enter exam and regular attempts pmt 3 attempts but I was under medication on paroxtene 37.5 CR I thought I will leave medicine when I will qualify. But when my sgpt increased I had decrease my dosage of paroxtene. I thought too much I and I was getting sweating and panic again. And my condition worsen and within months I have now recovering but unable to decide which stream to as I have lost 6 years after+2 being a topper student in past. Now I am felling burden. Now my preparation is on verge to qualify but I am not felling interested in mbbbs after losing so many years. I am completely confused and I am on medication on panazep 25 and quetiapine 300. Please help me sir.

Dear, it is not at all necessary that an intelligent student should go for mbbs or iit. Neither it is a rule that intelligent people do not have problems. Even if you have panic disorder and you are better on medications you can definitely go for any professional courses of your choice. Since you have completed your preparations for mbbs entrance you may give it a go. If you do not qualify you should find some better alternative without delay. Good luck.
