Before going to play, its good to take food kind of instant releaser of calories, like banana is good to eat before &meanwhile also. You try to drink more water,& energy drinks like glucose with minerals like sodium, potassium etc. Which are necessary to replace the lost minerals, salts& burnt calories. Take tender coconut water often. As you can not take solid diet while& before playing, try to take above mentioned at those timings& otherwise, in general you need to take more proteinaceous diet, like millets, sprouts, non oily, non spicy diet, milk, eggs, especially white, & meat also but not oily, fried. Drink 4-5 litres of water/day.

1-2 hours before playing, have a glass of fruit based milkshake. Carry replenishing beverages like salted buttermilk, fruit juice or soya milk tetra pack for break in between. Make sure to have sips of water in between. Handful of nuts will give a good boost to your energy levels.
