If hepatitis b is passed on to kids from mother. Kid is vaccinated later, after 6 years on, do we need to still worry of the kid being a carrier and infecting others or developing chronic hepatitis herself.

Exposure can occur from: a mother with hbv at the time of birth. It does not appear that hbv is passed to the fetus while still in the mother's womb.
