My father has 90% blockage in one vein. It is detected by angiography done 3 days ago. Now I am in doubt that which process should we adopt angioplasty or bypass. And second thing what are merit or demerit in both.

One blockage can be cleared by baloon therapy(angiography) Merits are that there is no need to do heart surgery + it serves as a warning for rest of life to take care of heart by eating well , exercise and taking stress in your stride with no negative feelings. Good Luck. Bypass surgery should be done if there are Diffuse Blockages all over the heart / blockages are more than 2 , because getting fitted with more stent is not beneficial in the long run compared to one time heart surgery , Aftercare after 2 months is same in both.
