My son is 2.11 years old, and he is pooping once in 2 days, and crying too much by holding his buttocks, may be he is getting pain. How to make him poop daily and anything we can do for his pain, any syrup for stool softener etc. Please advise.

Your son has constipation and he needs to be given high fibre diet and drink lot of fluids and eat fruits like plantains. His thyroid function also needs to be tested as hypothyroidism can lead to severe constipation as you have described. For the initial relief while the tests are pending you can put a dulcolax paediatric suppository inside his anus for the temporary relief.
