My nephew who is 19 years old revealed to me that he used to massage his gums with sanitizer and spit it out of fear of corona virus. Surely he must have gulped a very tiny amount. He never had any side effects best to his knowledge. But I have read that the denatured alcohol can cause central nervous problems and brain damage. Is there anything to worry about?

Tiny amount ingested would not have caused any effect. Do not worry sir.

The alcohol in sanitizers is 70% ethyl alcohol and not denatured alcohol. And in minute quantity, it is unlikely to cause any issues if they haven't started showing already.
