Is it normal to have a period cycle of 22 days. Thyroid is ok. What else can be reason? also having this period cycle can have any adverse affect on health?

Its normal to have cycle of 22 day unless or until u dont have any other problem simultaneoussly or before u were having cycle of 28-30 days but after some ailment like typhoid your cycle is short. But 22 days cycle means that again bloodloss after 22 days, means u will either become anaemic soon or you will have to take extra care of yr diet rich in iron content otherwise it can be a worrying factor.

If your period is of 22 days since menarche(first start) then it is normal, then it will not effect your health in anyways. But if it was irregular in between then there can be menstrual abnormality.
