The stomach ache is due to excessive vomiting and tears in the wall of the food pipe. Also, given the long history, there is every possibility of having already developed liver cirrhosis. Alcohol deaddiction is a very gradual process and will involve counselling sessions to help cope with stressors which cause frequent relapse into alcoholic habit. Also medications will vary depending upon the will of the patient to quit. Deaddiction will be very difficult if your father himself doesn't intend to or is not himself convinced to quit in the first place.
