Hi doctor. I have a cyst problem in my ovary, for the doctor suggested to take novelon tablet for 3 months. I started taking on 3 day (on 26 april 2021) of my period. Taking 2 tablets a day .morning and evening wrongly for 21 days. After that, I stopped. I then have my period on 28 may 2021 for 3 days as usual. Then again I started for 21 days. But this time .my periods come late (ie on 4 June) and I have just a normal flow for 1 day. Then after that I asked online (bcz of the pandemic) .whether to start taking novelon tablet again or not and when. So I got suggestions to start it again. I have started taking on 13 of June. And am close 2 my husband also these days. The problem is the next day (14 June) I get my stomach upset (fool gya pure pet.) and I forgot to take d tablet. Then on 15 June I was well. Again I had dinner. The same problem exists. Now should I take d novelon tablet or not? Is am facing stomach problems becoz of the tablet. Please reply. Thank you.

You are in irregular medications. So stop medication and wait for bleeding. The first day of your bleeding will be called day-1. And start tab. Novelon on day-1 and continue upto day- 21. Followd by 7 days gap. Then start another cycle from the next day irrespective of bleeding... Day-1 to day -21 ~ 7 days gap~ start another cycle. Contact me if necessary.

Novelon, being an ocp can cause slight bloating and it is not a contraindication to take it. If problem is severe, you need an ultrasound. Take only one tablet per day at the same time. If you don't want to get pregnant but missed two tablets,stop taking the tablet and use condoms till you get your periods.

Since this medicines were taken not in a proper order it can be cured with the same medicine only so the ideal things which we can do is to wait till day 5 of your period and see if the bleeding stops and you can also do an ultrasound scan to find out if the endometrial thickness is good based on that we can take the next pack.
